Sci-Fleet is always looking to fundraise for worthy causes and when we were approached by Gerry Garard, the Founder of 4 Aussie Heroes Foundation, we were proud to offer our support.
As a war vet himself, Gerry along with a strong board of directors and ambassadors such as Wally Lewis, recognises a strong need to support young Iraq and Afghanistan vets.
The Foundation is motivated to raise much needed funds in order to commission one of the world’s best practise live-in rehabilitation facility for struggling and suffering Australian war veterans.
Particularly those with mental health issues including PTSD resulting from them serving this great Nation of ours.
Sci-Fleet recently pledged $6,000 to the foundation by entering a team of four staff members to compete in the October 'Pedals 'n Medals' charity ride.
Cam Wickbold, Leon Richardson, Craig Porter and Neil Wojcik took on the challenge of a gruelling 270km ride around the mountainous Scenic Rim.
